CHRIS MARION
was born November 17, 1967 in Aberdeen, Mississippi the son of William Darrell Marion and Linda Gale Rye Houck.
He was united in marriage to Susan Rena Goodman on July 6, 2007.
Chris was a Heavy Machine Operator for Freeland and Lemm Construction in Cordova, Tennessee. He was a member of Houston First Baptist Church in Houston, Mississippi. Chris enjoyed playing the piano and drums and loved to play golf. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed kidding with people. Chris was a fan of Ole Miss University and NASCAR
He departed this life on November 27, 2008 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 41 Years, 10 Days.
Chris is survived by his wife Susan Rena (Goodman) Marion of Byhalia, MS, two daughters, Brittany Ladner of Jackson, MS, Brianna Nicole Marion of Dumas, MS; two sons, Robert Christopher Marion of Rockport, TX, Ian Conner Marion of Byhalia, MS
His mother, Linda Gale Rye Houck and her husband Richard of Booneville, MS and his father, William Darrell Marion and his wife Tommye of Red Banks, MS
One sister, Melodie Lynn Claxton and husband Tommy of Mt. Pleasant, MS,and 3 step-sisters, Janna Ortiz and husband Jose of Arlington, TN, Raye Ramsey and husband Walter of Little Rock, AR, Meridith Kitchen and husband Keith of AR; three step- brothers, Jared Houck and wife Cyndi of Durham, NC, Robert Parnell and wife Cindy of Bartlett, TN, Ryan Parnell of Searcy, AR
his grandparents, L. C. Rye and Elizabeth Rye, both of Aberdeen, MS
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Willied Darrell Marion and Minnie Frank Marion.

Elizabeth Gordon Rye, 84, died Dec. 5, 2008, at her residence in Aberdeen. Services are Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Aberdeen with Dr. Gerald Hodges officiating. Burial will follow at Oddfellows Rest Cemetery. Visitation is today from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Rye was born April 15, 1924, in Monroe County to the late Jessie Benton Gordon and Prudy Ozema Gordon. She lived in Aberdeen for the past 48 years and was a homemaker and mother. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Jessie Moss and Velda Howell; and brothers, Bill and Clayton Gordon; and two grandsons. She is survived by her husband, Lois C. Rye of Aberdeen; daughters, Linda Houck of Booneville and Sherron Martin of Aberdeen; son, Danny C. Rye of Salisbury; sister, Wilma Robertson of Aberdeen; seven grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Andy and Brad Rye, Matt and Daniel Martin, Chase Wilson, Wes and Kerry Colbert, Matt Tedder and Tommy Claxton
